A Certified Personal Trainer is an individual who creates exercise plans, educates clients on proper form, and gives tips to build muscle and lose fat in a healthy manner. CPTs can implement a variety of strategies to keep their clients moving and suggest various ways to meet their body image goals.
At the initial consultation, the CPT will take measurements, assess health history and ability via questionnaire, and have the client demonstrate a series of small exercises to ensure readiness for the program. After this visit, the CPT will construct an exercise plan to meet client needs and send this plan via email based on the equipment and/or environment available for the client. The client will have weekly check-ins and the plan will be tailored until the client reaches desired goals. In-person check-ins and form demonstrations will be ongoing.
A Certified Nutrition Coach is an individual who specializes in assisting clients in areas of nutrition education, healthy weight loss, macronutrient and micronutrient education, and differentiating which current diet trends are safe and effective in today's wealth of knowledge.
On the first visit, the CNC will take measurements, assess via questionnaires, and have a casual conversation to understand client goals. Once the goals are established, these goals will be cleaned up and made specific, and periodic check-ins will hold the client accountable to attain their goals. Other services such as grocery store navigation will be provided upon request of the client.
Results are not guaranteed and the CNC/CPT can only provide the resources and assist the client where they are. Factors that are beyond the control of the CNC/CPT such as improper following of plans provided are not at the fault of staff. If at any point the client wants to discontinue services at Embracing Change for any reason, they are able to do so at any time.
We do not offer weight loss or fat loss prescriptions. Only a registered dietician or primary care physician can provide medicinal services and clients can be referred to an RDN upon request.
I will only see individuals over the age of 18. Clients with pre-existing health conditions must get approval by their primary care physician for nutrition and fitness services.
